The Sofia Opera will tour this festival for the third time. In 1997, the opera “Il Guarany” by Antônio Carlos Gomes was performed there and in 2018: “Prince Igor” by Alexander Borodin.

In 2023, the production of “Elektra” by Richard Strauss received the Grand prize at the 20th International opera festival in Tegu, South Korea.

The Sofia Opera’s production of “Elektra” will once again be performed on one of the most prestigious international stages: at the traditional opera festival at the “Kemal Ataturk” cultural center in Istanbul, Turkey.
